SOLUTION: In this method for producing ditert-butyl peroxide by reacting tert-butyl hydroperoxide with tert-butyl alcohol in the presence of a catalyst, the method for producing the ditert-butyl peroxide is characterized in that the tert-butyl alcohol and tert-butyl hydroperoxide in which the water content is 0 to 50,000 are used and the catalyst is a sulfonic acid-based catalyst.
