The holder for a shopping cart has a flat elongate member (12) with a front surface (14) and an opposite back surface (16). A resilient clip (20) is attached to an upper portion (18) of the member (12) and extends along the front surface (14) towards a lower portion (19). A holder mechanism (28) has a neck portion (30) attached to the back surface (16) and comprises flexible curved arms (32, 34) that together form a rounded shape. The arm (32) has an outer end (36) and the arm (34) has an outer end (38) so that the outer ends have a gap (40) defined therein. The arms (32, 34) firmly hold a handle portion (42) placed between the arms (32, 34) and inside the gap (40). |
