The present invention discloses a novel polypeptide, a human red blood cell adducin alpha subunit 11, the polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide and the method for producing the polypetide by DNA recombinant technology. The invention also discloses the uses of the polypeptide in methods for treating various diseases, such as red blood cell illness, epithelial tumor, some development disorders, inflammation, immunological disease, HIV infection, etc. The invention also discloses the agonistes against the polypeptide and the therapeutic action thereof.
