PURPOSE: An algorithm for converting an address identification and its application are provided to accurately read an address and to increase the compressibility of address data by assigning an address code to a his/her residence. CONSTITUTION: In a region of which the last district name of an administrative district is one-to-one matched to a zip code, the zip code corresponds to a name of a dong. An algorithm for converting an address sequentially enumerates the zip code, an index number of topographical condition IDX(II)(12), an ordered pair of (a data sorting mark and a lot number(13)) and (the data sorting mark and a dependent lot number(14)), an ordered pair of (an indicating symbol of resident condition, an index number of topographical condition IDX(III)(15), and the data sorting mark) and (a housing complex number(18) and the data sorting mark, a number of dong(16) and the data sorting mark, and a number of house(17)), a rule.
