SUNROOF FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A vehicle sunroof is provided to improve productivity and cut down expenses by simple assembling process and structure, to reduce failure rate by operating without noise, and to prevent leakage by packing in closing a glass panel. CONSTITUTION: A sunroof is composed of a rectangular housing, right and left operating members installed in the housing, a glass panel supported by the operating members, and a motor opening and closing the glass panel by the operating members. The glass panel is contacted to the housing with packing, and right and left operating members are fixed in a reinforcing frame. The operating member consists of a long guide rail(18), an operating piece(20) sliding along the guide rail, a lever(24) combined with a guide groove(22) of the operating piece to slide with the operating piece, a supporting plate(26) between the lever and the operating piece connecting and supporting the glass panel, and a rod(30) fitted to the guide groove of the guide rail and supported by a tension coil spring(28). The glass panel is combined with the supporting plate by a fixing piece and a hook. The sunroof prevents leakage by sealing the glass panel with the rod.
