Piston engine working as a thermal engine, either pneumatic or hydraulic, having a reversible pump/compressor function, in which, according to this invention, the rotating motion of the crankshaft (19) is directly obtained by the movement of at least one piston (1, 2, 3) inside an annular cylinder (C), with a suction inlet (A) and an exhaust outlet (S), encircling and coaxial with respect to the shaft, and vice versa for the reversible pump/compressor operation, in such a way that the lever arm is constant and wide, as determined by the nominal radius of the annular cylinder. |
