PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exercise appliance which has no need to put back a pedal (a foot placing means) to a primary position in every use and secures a stability when getting on and off. SOLUTION: On a pedal 7 which moves back and forth along a rail 5, a power going ahead is always acted by connecting a wire 72 and 74 attached to a spring 70 via pulleys 56, 52 and 45 from the front side of the pedal 7. When the appliance is not used, the pedal 7 stops at a standard point of the front side where a stopper is placed. Another pedal 8 is structured in the same way as the pedal 7.
