PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rearview mirror device with an improved visibility around a vehicle when the vehicle changes its course or stops. SOLUTION: A turning part enables the rearview mirrors installed on both sides of a vehicle to respectively turn upward and downward and rightward and leftward. When vehicle speed is lower than a specified value, the rear view mirror can be turned downward and inward by a given amount. In case that the operation of course change is detected, only the mirror on the side related to course change returns to the standard position. When startup operation is detected while the vehicle is at a stop, the rear view mirror can be returned to the standard position as required.
