PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium capable of preventing sticking with a thermal head, formation of wrinkle and breaking of a support even in a high energy printing, large number of printings, or a high speed printing. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium consisting of a support and a thermally transferable ink layer provided on a top surface of the support is characterized in that a heat resistant protective layer consisting of a silicone- containing polyamide resin represented by the general formula (1) described below is provided on an undersurface of the support. |
