PURPOSE: A transparent LCD device is provided to improve luminance of a transmission mode by forming a transparent LCD device with a reflection mode and the transmission mode. CONSTITUTION: The first transparent substrate(430) is installed on the lower substrate(400). A pixel electrode(440) is formed on the first transparent substrate(430). The first protective layer(450) including a transmission hole is formed on the pixel electrode(440). A reflective electrode(460) is formed on the first protective layer(450). The first transmission portion is formed on the first protective layer(450) and the reflective electrode(460). The second transparent substrate(520) is formed on an upper substrate(500). A color filter layer(516) is formed on a common electrode(510). The second protective layer(515) is formed between the color filter layer(516) and the common electrode(510). The second transmission portion is formed on the second protective layer(515). A liquid crystal layer(600) is formed between the upper substrate(500) and the lower substrate(400).
