PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of a decoding error in the case of decoding plural multiplexed picture data sequentially. SOLUTION: In the case of decoding plural multiplexed streams sequentially, the decoding assignment of the streams are switched by the unit of a slice layer. Switching by the unit of the slice layer is performed, for example, based on a stored data quantity in an input buffer. Further, based on the stored data quantity in the input buffer, a picture is slipped in reading. Further, when the frame rates of the plural streams are different, in accordance with the frame rate of each stream, an assigning order is decided. By these pieces of operation, normal display is realized without generating the decoding error. |
