NON-CONTACT IC CARD, READER/WRITER, NON-CONTACT IC CARD SYSTEM AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue communications with a non-contact IC card suffering the shortage of power supply by using a host device to perform communications with a battery-less non-contact IC card to which the power supply is insufficient. SOLUTION: Response information from a non-contact IC card 1 including notification of the shortage of operating power in the card and notification of a reception error of a reader/writer caused by the shortage of operating power in the card are received via the reader/writer 10, the host device 20 decides that the IC card 1 is short of power supply. Communications are continued by raising the operating power in the card by selectively using a carrier wave output amplifier part 14 to the reader/writer 10, a detection area shape changing part 15 or a card position changing part 23 to perform a visual instruction regarding a position and a reception state of the card by a monitor 21 to a user of the IC card 1.
