PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying machine 1 where an image read section 2 reads an original image, an image processing section 3 uses an area separation section 3a to discriminate the type of an original by each of optionally demarcated areas, each of sections 3b, 3c, 3d applies image processing in response to respective discriminated results to each area and an image forming section 4 outputs a formed image, that informs a user about an switching error of an image processing mode of presence of an image processing mode. SOLUTION: When each predetermined mismatching page number indicates the presence of a predetermined mismatching ratio or over on the basis of data of mismatching page number in an image processing mode by each user stored in an accumulation storage section 9a in a storage section 9, a mode matching discrimination section 5d in a control section 5 corresponding to a user ID identified by a user identification section 7 allows a message generating section 5g to inform the user about a setting method of the image processing mode. |
