PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment capable of properly performing incoming call operation in an energy saving state. SOLUTION: When an automatic answering telephone mode and a telephone set priority mode are set, in an energy saving mode, a no-ringing call-incoming operation is performed. When a call signal is detected to release the energy saving mode, the no-ringing call-incoming operation is held until the controlling operation of a system control part 1 is started. Thus, such a situation where an automatic answering telephone set 12 answers to a call signal first is avoided and operation after releasing the energy saving mode is performed properly.
