<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize electronic equipment such as a portable telephone equipped with an absolute position inputting means so that the input of signature data can be performed. SOLUTION: A signature data forming means 14 receives the data of an absolute coordinate value outputted by a joy stick 12, and collects information that the switch is performing an ON operation/an OFF operation and a coordinate value during a signing operation, and uses them as time-sequential data, and forms signature data. The prescribed number of the formed signature data are gathered so that the characters of the signature can be constituted. The signature data groups are recognized as nothing but the signature data. A comparing and collating means 16 compares and collates the signature data with registered signature data, and outputs an authenticated result being the compared and collated result. When the contents of the authenticated result indicate that the user is not 'the person himself or herself', a rejecting means 20 turns one part or whole part of the functions of a portable telephone 10 into an operation inhibiting state so that the portable telephone 10 can be prevented from being used by the user. Thus, it is possible to prevent anyone other than the person himself or herself from using the portable telephone 10.</p> |
