PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an avatar to execute prescribed action in chatting. SOLUTION: When a chat message 'Hello' is inputted from a user of an avatar in shared virtual space, action corresponding to the character string is retrieved from a correspondence table. The action retrieved from the table is executed by the avatar. Consequently the avatar executes action for putting his hand up or the like.
