PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that there is possibility that the temperature rise of the end of a specified recording paper can not be detected even though the specified recording paper passes when a temperature detection element for detecting the temperature rise falls in a rare open/rare short state by the influence of contact resistance or the like. SOLUTION: This heating device is equipped with a sequence controller which compares temperature detected by a 2nd temperature detection means arranged at a position equivalent to the outside of the area of the width of the recording paper in the vicinity of the end of the specified recording paper which can pass when a heating means is controlled in terms of temperature by controlling a power supply means based on the temperature detected by a 1st temperature detection means disposed more inside than the width of the recording paper of the minimum width which can pass with a previously decided temperature condition, and judges that the 2nd temperature detection means breaks down when output from the 2nd temperature detection means does not show a specified change. |
