PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private exchange system, adopting a V 5.2 interface that avoids mismatch of data between a private branch of exchange and a terminal accommodating device which is caused when communication is interrupted for the restart of relief of a system call to prevent a new fault from taking place. SOLUTION: A restart processing section 116 compares the state of a PSTN protocol processing section 113 at a side of the private branch of an exchange 110 and a state of a PSTN protocol processing section 124 on the side of the terminal accommodating device 120 on the occurrence of system call relief restart. When both disagree, a corresponding call is interrupted, while when both agree, the restart processing section 116 compares information of a resource manager 112 at the side of the private branch of exchange 110 with the information of a resource manager 122 at the side of the terminal accommodating device 120. Then when both disagree, the corresponding call is interrupted and when both agree, the corresponding connection is continued.
