PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel battery that is inexpensive, superior in gas impermeability, and equipped with a separator having no necessity of addition of hydrophilic substance. SOLUTION: Separator 1A is constituted by a plate-shaped separator 11 made of compression-molded swollen graphite having a high bulk density for gas separation, a separator 12 equally made of compression-molded swollen graphite having a low bulk density equipped with gas passages 3 for fuel gas, and a separator 13 equipped with oxidizer gas passages 4. Gas non-permeability is maintained by the separator 11 for gas separation, while the hydrophilic property is maintained by the passage separators 12, 13. |
