The lactation of mammals is stimulated by administering thereto compositions comprising phenthiazine derivatives of the general formula: <FORM:1089031/A5-A6/1> wherein X is selected from -Br, -Cl, -CF3, -CN and -Y-R1 wherein Y is selected from <FORM:1089031/A5-A6/2> and <FORM:1089031/A5-A6/3> ; and R1 is selected from methyl, ethyl and propyl; n is 2 or 3; and R is selected from: <FORM:1089031/A5-A6/4> wherein Z is selected from: -CH3, -OH, -CH2.CH2OH, <FORM:1089031/A5-A6/5> , <FORM:1089031/A5-A6/6> , <FORM:1089031/A5-A6/7> and -SO2-N(CH3)2. The active compound may be administered mixed with an oil or with an animal feed. |
