PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high accuracy image signal even if an imaging part including a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) and a quantizing part including an A/D converter are spaced apart from each other. SOLUTION: In an imaging apparatus, a control code generated at a control code generator 33 is branched at a branching point 35 in a CCD peripheral circuit system 10 and one of the branched control code is supplied to a control timing generator 15 so as to generate a control signal for a CCD 12. By supplying the other branched control code via a transmitting cable 32 to a control timing generator 25 of a quantizing circuit system 20, there is generated a control signal for a CDS circuit 23 and an A/D converter 24. An output signal of the CCD 12 is provided to the converter 24 via a transmitting cable 31. The delay value through the two cables 31, 32 are equivalent so that there is no phase shift between the CCD output signal at the CDS circuit 23 and the control signal at the A/D converter 24.
