<p>Conventionally, when a trick play is realized by dividing a content into a predetermined number of sectors and using a correspondence table about information on a unit for encoding the content, the total reproducing time of the content cannot be specified, and a correct reproduction start time code cannot be produced. A trick play method for a digital storage medium on/from which a multimedia content is recorded/reproduced for realizing a trick play such as random access playback from an arbitrary point, fast forward, or fast rewind playback, wherein the content of a program is recorded as independent files for the respective medium objects; and a program manager file containing an information list of the medium objects, the reproducing time of each medium object, a medium object information file containing an entry point list for each predetermined time interval, a reproduction start program ID specified by the user, and a play list manager file in which the reproduction start/end times are designated are provided.</p> |
