PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to allow a user to record and reproduce his/her motion pictures in a clear and high quality screen by adjusting background of the picture through the light attached to the front surface of the refrigerator which is equipped with multimedia devices such as a display, camera, microphone and speaker. CONSTITUTION: A method for recording and reproducing motion pictures, comprises a first step(S10,S20) of judging whether an input command is for motion picture recording through a camera or Internet, when a command for storing motion picture into a memory is input through an input unit; a second step(S30) of storing motion picture information transmitted through Internet into a memory, if it is judged in the first step that the input command is for motion picture recording through Internet; a third step(S40,S50,S60) of judging whether voice signal and illumination are required or not and selectively turning on the microphone and light, if it is judged in the first step that the input command is for motion picture recording through a camera; a fourth step(S70) of recording motion picture through the camera, and storing the recorded data into the memory; and a fifth step(S80,S90) of detecting the motion picture data stored in the memory, and reproducing the detected data onto the display unit in accordance with the reproduction signal input by a user.
