PURPOSE: A telephone hook monitoring and alarming method in a terminal type WLL(Wireless Local Loop) terminal is provided to generate an alarm sound through a buzzer, in case that no key input is generated for a given time in the off-hook state of a telephone, in order to make a user put the handset correctly. CONSTITUTION: In an idle state, the CPU of a terminal type WLL judges whether a telephone is in an on-hook state or in an off-hook state(S101,S103). If it is in the off-hook state, the CPU judges whether a call signal is received from the external(S105). In case that a call signal is received, the CPU clears an off-hook timer(S107) and processes the main call(S109). If there is no call signal, the CPU activates the off-hook timer(S111) and judges whether the operation time of the off-hook timer exceeds a given time(S113). If the operation time exceeds the given time, the CPU makes a frequency using a ringer circuit embedded in an MSM(Mobile Station Modem), sends a signal to a buzzer through a GPIO(General Purpose Input Output) port so that the telephone can generate a high-tone alarm sound(S115). Then the CPU continues to check whether the telephone is in the on-hook state or in the off-hook state(S117). If it is in the off-hook state, the CPU of the MSM doesn't respond to a paging message until the handset gets to the on-hook state(S119).
