<p>A process for the preparation of linear perfluoroalkanones or perfluorocycloalkanones, characterized by using as the starting material one or more compounds selected from among perfluoroalkanoyl halides represented by the general formula: F(CF2)nCOX (wherein X is F, Cl, Br, or I; and n is an integer of 1 to 8) or a perfluoroalkanedioyl dihalide represented by the general formula: XOC(CF2)nCOX (wherein X is F, Cl, Br, or I, and n is an integer of 3 to 8) and reacting the compound(s) or the dihalide with a metal carbonate. According to this process, perfluoroalkanones can be prepared from relatively easily available raw materials by a simple synthesis method.</p> |
