PURPOSE: A pan tilt apparatus of an image camera is provided to selectively enlarge and display a part of a photographed image. CONSTITUTION: A CCD(15) pickups an image of a subject and outputs a corresponding analog signal. A frame memory(35) stores an image signal of one frame to be displayed from a DSP(30). A microprocessor(40) controls a generation, a storage, a display operation, and a pan tilt display operation of the image signal. An image signal pan tilt section(45) selectively enlarges and displays a part of an image signal stored in the frame memory(35). A display device(55) operates by an image signal from a DSP(30) and displays a corresponding image. A timing signal generator(60) generates a timing signal according to a control of the microprocessor(40). A driving signal generator(65) generates a driving signal for driving a pickup operation of the CCD(15) in response to the timing signal.
