The invention relates to a liposome composition including, as active component, (-)-N- dimethyl-N-(2-propinyl-phenylethylamine) (selegiline) and/or its salt which can be used for the treatment of the Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, depression, cerebral insultus, sea-sickness or myelitis. The content of the above composition, in wt.%, is as follows: from 0.1 to 40 selegiline and/or its salt, from 2 to 40 lipids, preferably phospholipids, from 0 to 10 chlesterol, from 0 to 20 alcohol, from 0 to 25 glycol, 0-3 antioxidant, 0-3 preservative, 0-2 viscosity regulation agent, from 0 to 50 cyclodextrine or cyclodextrine derivative and from 30 to 90 water. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical composition containing the above liposome composition optionally together with a filler, dilutant or auxiliary substances, preferably in a form for oral, parenteral or subcutaneous administration, as well as a method for the preparation of liposome compositions containing selegiline and/or its salt. 11 claims, 9 figures
