PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inhibitor having excellent effects on osteoporosis and composed of natural products, and further to provide a food obtained by using the inhibitor. SOLUTION: (1) This inhibitor of the osteoporosis is characterized in that one unit comprises 0.1-6 g, preferably 1-3 g eggshell powder. (2) The inhibitor of the osteoporosis of (1) is obtained by granulating or tableting the eggshell powder. (3) The food for inhibiting the osteoporosis is obtained by formulating the eggshell powder of (1) or granules composed of the eggshell powder of (2) therewith.
