Detergent comprising an alkoxylated compound in a water-soluble pouch

A detergent comprising an alkoxylated compound is enclosed in a pouch made of water-soluble film. The film is preferably a polyvinyl alcohol polymer and has a stretch degree from 40-500% and a thickness variation of at least 10% and may contain plasticisers. The alkoxylated compound may be a tallow ethoxylated alcohol, an alcohol, an ester, an aldehyde, a ketone or mix thereof and have an alkoxylation degree of at least 50. The pouch may be moulded and contain a second water soluble film. The alkoxylated compound is used to improve the cleaning performance the detergent in wash water comprising the water soluble film.
