Improvements in catalytic reduction of NOx

A low temperature catalyst composition for NOx reduction in combustion gases, especially from diesel engines, the catalyst composition comprising an oxide of manganese alone or in combination with an oxide of cerium on a wash-coat of titania which contains an oxide of tungsten, the titania being of a relatively high surface area. The catalyst composition is used with a reductant such as ammonia, urea or ammonium carbamate.
