<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably remove dioxin and related compounds from exhaust gas generated from a melting furnace for iron scrap, and a pre-heating furnace, a melting furnace for non-ferrous metals/ferroalloys, a melting furnace for dust/incineration ash, etc. SOLUTION: Exhaust gas from a melting furnace 1 and a pre-heating furnace 2 is completely burned in a combustion tower 3. After the gas is retained at high temperature, the exhaust gas temperature is reduced in a cooling tower 4. Atmospheric air is dehumidified by a dehumidifier 5, and introduced in the waste gas, the diluted waste gas is fed in a precipitator 7 to remove dioxin and related compounds simultaneously with removal of the dust. Besides the atmospheric air, gas sources, such as various kinds of dry gas, dry ice, liquefied nitrogen may be employed. Exhaust gas let out from the cooling tower 4 may be fed to be mixed and diluted with a suction gas of an erection system, and the gas is introduced in the precipitator of the erection system to remove dioxin and related compounds simultaneously with the removal of dust.</p> |
