PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress yellowing and squeaking troubles of granular detergent composition. SOLUTION: The objective granular detergent composition is produced by using (a) a nonionic surfactant of general formula (I) (R1 CO is a 6-22C saturated or unsaturated fatty acid residue; R2 is a 2-8C alkylene; R3 is a 1-4C alkyl; and (n) is the average addition molar number of OR2 and is 2-50) and (b) a polyalkylene glycol having a weight-average molecular weight of 100-1,000 and/or (c) a polyoxyalkylene alkyl (1-4C) ether.
