GLASS MOLDING, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING GLASS SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing glass substrates having no affected glass substrate properties caused by shear marks which are generated in producing glass substrate by press-molding of a glass gob obtained by cutting fused glass with a cutter. SOLUTION: This method comprises fusing glass, discharging the fused glass from a nozzle onto a female mold, then extending the distance between the nozzle and the female mold to make the fused glass flux thin and then cutting the resultant with a cutter to decrease contacting area of the fused glass with the cutter and to decrease the range of generating the shear mark on the molding.
