PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially suitable method for producing a halogenopyridinecarboxamide at a low cost in a good operability. SOLUTION: In a method for producing a halogenopyridinecarboxamide represented by general formula (2) (wherein X is a halogen atom) by hydrolyzing a halogenocyanopyridine represented by general formula (1) (wherein X shows an identical meaning to above-mentioned one), this method for producing the halogeno pyridinecarboxamide features performing the above reaction while feeding oxygen into the reaction liquid.
