PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system for calculating and informing a user of a time and a route required for a user utilizing public transport facilities with a portable terminal equipment to move from a position where the user exists at present to a position designated by the user or a position where another user exists and a portable terminal equipment based upon the system. SOLUTION: The network system comprises at least a user's position recognition means 1, a user's destination recognition means 3, a transport facility judging means 5 for specifying a transport facility utilized by the user of a mobile terminal equipment by accessing a database 4 for recording a running state of public transport facilities, and a calculating means 6 for calculating and informing a user of the route capable for the user A of going by using the public transport facility from a user's A present position to a user's B present position, the public transport facility to be used and a predetermined time.
