The airship has a pneumatically supported, semi rigid or rigid nozzle-shaped hollow body (1). The hollow body encompasses a wind channel (2) with an aerodynamic profile and forms the cover surface of a nozzle (23) extending from an annular nose to an annular tail. The wind channel also holds part of a drive system and part of a horizontal stabilizer. The nozzle tapers towards the center of the airship or the tail in the travel direction. The drive system is located at the widest part of the nozzle.
