摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain oriented silicon steel sheet in which the surface of ferrite in a silicon steel sheet subjected to mirror finishing or not formed with a forsterite film can be formed with a film with tight adhesion and a grain oriented silicon steel sheet extremely low in core loss obtained by further forming a tension application type insulating film thereon and to provide a method for producing the same grain oriented silicon steel sheets extremely low in core loss. SOLUTION: In the grain oriented silicon steel sheet, the surface of ferrite is provided with fine, stripy grooves with a depth of 0.05 to 2 μm directly applied thereon at the intervals of 0.05 to 2 μm. The fine, stripy grooves suitably elongate to the direction orthogonal to the rolling direction or to the direction within ±45 deg. from the above orthogonal direction.
