PACKING FOR FLOW RATE CONTROL VALVE IN ALUMINUM MELTING FURNACE, AND ITS FITTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing for the flow rate control valve of an aluminum melting furnace without causing contamination by powdering of a fireproof packing material at a molten metal temperature without requiring grinding, and the method for fitting the packing. SOLUTION: In a stopper-head-type flow rate control valve that is used for adjusting the molten metal of the aluminum melting furnace, a fireproof packing material 1 that is flexible at normal temperatures and manifests strength at 800 deg.C or higher is included between a gate 2 of a flow rate control valve and a stopper head 5, and is heated to an aluminum melting temperature for sintering to be integrated with the stopper head 5.
