METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING CARRIER RELAY SIGNAL AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To transmit a carrier relay signal without fluctuation of a transmission delay time by an SDH transmission system. CONSTITUTION:A carrier relay signal inserting means 3 and a carrier relay signal extracting means 4 are provided on both the ends of an SDH transmission system 5 in the case of detecting a fault of the transmission system by transmitting monitoring information at one end of the transmission system being at a signal terminal station with a carrier relay signal to a signal terminal station 2 at the other end of the transmission system and comparing the pieces of information. The carrier relay signal inserting means 3 inserts the carrier relay signal in the signal terminal system 1 to the DCC of an SDH frame. Moreover, the carrier relay signal extracting means 4 extracts the carrier relay signal inserted to the DCC from the SDH frame and outputs the signal to the signal terminal station 2 to transmit the carrier relay signal through the SDH transmission system without the fluctuation of a transmission delay time.
