The invention relates to a biologically degradable shaped body (5), especially a container, which has an interior and exterior as well as at least one opening (4) and which is based on a composite comprised of starch and of a biologically degradable fibrous material. The interior and exterior of the shaped body (5) each have a layer that is resistant to liquids, whereby the layers are made of biologically degradable film (6) that is applied to the shaped body (5). The invention also relates to a method for producing said film-coated shaped body.
