The connector includes a body comprising a receptacle opening. The body is electrically conductive and consists of a material having shape memory, which changes its state with temperature. The receptacle opening changes its dimensions such that in a low temperature state the opening is deformed so as to allow the insertion of a wire-like conductor without substantial friction. An Independent claim is included for an implantable medical device.
