摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic metal oxide photochromic material which can exhibit a photochromic phenomenon with the energy of visible light. SOLUTION: This photochromic material comprising a transition metal oxide which has a band gap in the region of visible light and can change at least one direction color with the visible light. The photochromic material can change the light by an oxidation-reduction change due to the irradiation of the visible light in the absence of a reducing agent. The photochromic method and device, comprising changing the color by the irradiation of laser beam on the photochromic material and reversibly change the color by the heating the photochromic material.
