The transmission mechanism shall find application as automatic mechanical stage-less transmission with smoothly changing gear ratio in a wide range, with facility for stopping and reversing the rotation at the output, e. g. in motor vehicles, tractors and other machines where power transmission is required in changing the moment of resistance of the load in a wide range. The mechanism is compact and has simple structure. It consists of two planetary differential mechanisms (3, 4) connected in succession, and two model alternatives are made for the control of the operation of one of them by dividing in-going power flow. It is possible to control the gear ratio by centrifugal (and/or power) regulator (6), maintaining constant revolutions (and/or loading) of the engine, as well as by making use of an electronic device, depending on the revolutions and the loading of the engine. 10 claims, 10 figures.
