PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure blowing performance and also to reduce the cost together in an outdoor unit of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: A fan unit 1 is constituted by fitting a propeller fan 3 and a motor 4 to a fan cover 2 with support members 5 interposed, and the fan unit 1 is fixed integrally to a casing 11. Even if there is a manufacturing error in the fan cover 2 or the propeller fan 3, the error is adjusted easily and the clearance between the path of the outer circumference of the propeller fan 3 and the inner peripheral surface of a bellmouth part 2b of the fan cover 2 is easily conformed to the optimum value as much as possible, according to this constitution. After the clearance is once set at the optimum value, it is kept at the optimum value by fitting the fan unit 1 integrally with the casing 1. As the results, the propeller fan 3 exerts a high blowing performance at all times and the performance of heat exchange in a heat exchanger is improved by ensuring the necessary amount of blowing, while the property of a quiet operation of the outdoor unit is improved by reduction of the sound of blowing. |
