<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of impact noises. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic clutch is constituted of a hub 7 of a first rotor 6, a friction plate 5 of a second rotor 3, a spring 12 interposed between the first rotor 6 and the second rotor 3 and a base end part of which is fixed on the hub 7, an armature plate 11 free to make frictionally contact with a friction plate 5 to be fixed on a motion end part of the spring 12 and an electromagnetic coil 15 to attract the armature plate 11 to the friction plate. The spring 12 has a non-linear property that a spring constant of the spring 12 is smaller at an initial stage of deformation and the spring constant of the spring 12 is larger at an end stage of deformation, and such a deforming property can be easily provided by adjustment of thickness and width of the spring. The armature plate 11 is decelerated immediately before it collides against the friction plate 5, displays a soft landing effect at the time of colliding against the friction plate and attemperates impact noise.</p> |
