The system has a mainly plane bus bar profile with a number of adjacent conductors and a number of conductors for a current pick-up for a crane or similar and movable over the profile and a mainly U-shaped holding profile, an arrangement for fixing the bus bar profile to the holding profile and relatively short mounting profiles for attaching the holding profile to stands or supports in e.g. a bearing. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of mounting a bus bar system on supports.
