PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for ink jet recording allowing no attachment of the ink mist to the nozzle surface when the ink is discharged, i.e., the attachment of the ink discharged from the ink-discharge aperture to the nozzle surface without reaching the recording medium, and also provide a recording process using the ink. SOLUTION: The ink contains from 1 to 20 wt.% polyhydric alcohol alkyl ether, from 1 to 30 wt.% glycols or nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound and from 0.01 to 0.5 wt.% nonionic acetylene glycol surfactant. The use of the ink may inhibit the attachment of the ink mist to the nozzle surface. |
