The flexible mounting for a car exhaust pipe (9) has a rigid frame (2) at each end. Elastomeric springs (3) are attached to these which carry bushes (4) allowing the mounting to swivel. The mounting is fixed at either end by bolts (7, 8). The axis (6) of the mounting is at right angles to the forces of stress (10) acting on the pipe.
