PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for collecting salmon roe, capable of avoiding direct contact of the human hand with roe, not requiring insertion of the human hand into a trunk part of salmon so as to collect roe, readily separating roe from internal organs, guaranteeing safety and sanitary aspect of operator, hygienically and safely supplying salmon roe without contamination from the outside and a roe collecting device therefor. SOLUTION: A roe collecting process by this method for collecting roe comprises a pretreatment process S10 consisting of an intestine cutting process 25a at an anus and a trunk part cutting and tearing process 25b, a roe collecting device insertion process S11, a process S12 for taking salmon roe and internal organs in the roe collecting device, a process S13 for separating the salmon roe and the internal organs from a body of fish, a process 14 for separating the salmon roe from the internal organs and a process 15 separating and dividing the salmon roe from the roe collecting device.
