PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a measuring reagent used for measurement carried out by using a physiologically active substance such as an enzyme. SOLUTION: A chelating agent having functions, by which one or two or more effects selected from at least the following items are obtained is added to a measuring reagent containing a physiologically active substance such as an enzyme. (1) Effect of stabilizing the physiologically active substance such as enzyme and/or effect of preventing inhibition of activity thereof. (2) Effect of stabilizing signal of a reaction indicator. (3) Effect of preventing turbidity in mixing a substance to be measured with a measuring reagent containing a metal ion. (4) Effect of preventing precipitation of a metal salt.
